About

Gidday. I guess if you’re reading this page you want to know a little bit more about me!

Well I’m a kiwi and I live in Auckland. But don’t hold that against me! I was born and raised on a sheep farm in Edendale which is between the two notable Southland towns of Gore and Invercargill. But don’t hold that against me either!

I spent a couple of years in London recently and was lucky to be able to explore and photograph many amazing places throughout Europe. And I recently spent 3 months in LA which let me capture some unique images from the good old U S of A.

Apart from photography, I’m big on exploring and making use of the New Zealand outdoors. I do heaps of skiing, am slowly learning to surf, enjoy mountain biking, playing touch and do plenty of running. I did the 2009 London Marathon. Best thing I’ve ever done. (Check out my marathon blog)

I love taking photos. Lots of them. My family is pretty arty. My sister got the drawing and painting genes. I didn’t. So I picked up a camera instead and taught myself the art of photography. My speciality is travel, landscape and lifestyle photography.

This website showcases some of the images I’ve captured around New Zealand and the world. I have thousands more. All of my photos are for sale as stock images at very reasonable rates, just contact me and we’ll nut out a price together.

If you can’t find an image you’re looking for, then drop me a line and I’m happy to help you out, either from my stock library or I’d be glad to talk about shooting some pics for your task at hand. No project is too big or too small.

To date my images have been used around the world, particularly by travel companies in the UK, US and Australia and recently UK celebrity chef Rick Stein used my work for his visit down under.

So that’s about me. What I do and what I can hopefully do for you. I hope you enjoy browsing through my website. Any questions at all feel free to contact me. You can also keep up to date with what I’m up to through my blog or by following me on Twitter and Facebook.

Cheers.

Ben
