Photo of the week – Central Otago Beehives

These beehives were along the Moonlight Track near Queenstown. The blue sky, brown grass and spiny hills are typical of the region and I really like the additional element the hives bring. One of my favourite shots of the summer.

I wonder what do bees do when there is a big earth quake like just now in NZ. Where you there at that time? Travel safe!
